I really don't have to, but why or why... I routinely check Daily Horoscope in the "Metro" paper. Metro is a free weekday paper mainly for commuters, available at London Underground ("metro") stations as well as at major train stations and hospitals throughout England, Wales and Scotland.
It's a newspaper, so naturally it has a crossword page with a daily horoscope column towards the back. I check mine (Virgo). Don't get it, read it again slowly...then I read it sentence by sentence. What the hell is it telling me? I move on to my husband's (Taurus). Read it again. What the hell does that mean?
Take today's (July 6th) for example - I've copied & pasted word for word in the left column and put my interpretation in the right. Cancerians and Sagittarians must have gone through a hell of confusion today, according to this.

Metro is a decent newspaper, you know. It's just the Horoscope column that's so bonkers that I had to check the astrologer's website. And now it makes sense - a complete (slightly detailed) version of the daily horoscope is out on his site, but when it's copied onto the Metro's limited column space, a sentence or two are omitted from each zodiac sign. And the omitted sentence can contain some crucial keywords.
We could blame it on the Metro's editor for this. But then interpreting psychic's words is always tricky. One thing I can say is that none of us readers is interested to know which planet is ruling today or whether the moon is friendly tonight. If we were, we'd check elsewhere.
Can a newspaper horoscope be a little more comprehensive?

I believe the astrology and love checking up my daily horoscope I check 5 sites in the morning and 1 of them always says something totally different for example 4 sites say that lunar power or whatever is going to make me nervous all day but 1 says I will have a fun day socializing with coworkers. So different I’m convinced this one’s making it all up.
That’s interesting, Natalia, I’m not an expert and don’t feel I have a say in this, but it sounds like either a made-up, or that particular one’s based on a different astrological diagram? I do believe in the astrology too and like reading it as long as the expressions are not manipulative…! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Your post has made my day, Ray! Yeah it sounds ridiculous! I sort of believe in horoscopes but just roughly. The only thing that I feel helps me is a personality match. I don’t rely on the predictions, don’t want them to rule my life, really.
