Brexit News Today: Someone Else’s Complaints

Another Brexit news today. A polish girl who works in a London cafe is worried because she may not be able to let her family from Poland in & out freely in the future... Yes we've already heard about the potential problem like a thousand times. A guy from Bristol is concerned about his job security because the Swiss company he works for might close the branch after the Brexit. Eh...when did Switzerland join EU...? But yeah, we know about that too.

Brexit News Today

Virtually no news about Brexit is absolutely positive, and Brexit is one of the main topics day-in, day-out. I often wonder how news media coverage is fair & balanced, because how we actually perceive is pretty different. We are practically reminded every day that our future is doomed. Whatever the negotiations in Brussels might devastatingly fail. The British ministers are solely to blame for all that. Brexit might cost us squillions of pounds a week in the very near future...and so on.

Being a nation of moaners, we all react accordingly. Brexit was the biggest mistake of the century and so-and-so should resign. Britain is once again a "laughing stock" (we seem to love that phrase!) There's no future, so from now on forever we'll just keep loathing what happened at that referendum. Or 'bad future' - keep speculating the worst case scenarios.

My point is - we've had enough of it. ENOUGH of miserable pessimists telling us we're doomed. We are not doomed. Even if we are - get a life. I mean life. There may be thousands of reasons why the UK is going down that you want to tell us, but if you are a decent human being, you don't just warn others of anything without suggesting how to prepare for it. Can we at least talk about moving forward, otherwise shut up?

"We can't talk about moving forward just yet, because everything's uncertain right now"

Then back to the beginning - if uncertain, can miserable old farts stop speculating every possible future disaster. They're practically panicking by saying "Oh my god, we're going to suffer. Oh my god, we're going to suffer. Oh my god, we're going to suffer. By the way I voted to remain, obviously..."

So what can you do when the future's uncertain? You cannot change the whole environment so easily. Each one of us has to find what we think is the best way within the environment. Spend wisely and try to save a little more money... Move somewhere cheaper... That's about it, isn't it? You can get a better job only to be made redundant, or start a business that may fail. Life is only about either taking risks or staying in the safety net. It's up to you to decide what you should do whatever happens to the Great - I mean great - Britain.

  1. The first step and correcting something is to realize there’s a problem. Hello Brexit is a problem it is cost uncertainty people talk about this surprise. If you’re starving it’s hard to make things better you can’t pull yourself out of poverty by your bootstraps if you’re not wearing shoes. Brexit may make sure that those shoes not coming at least anytime soon and if it is unless you’re rich forget about it. Sorry you got no sympathy mate and what’s your solution think positively. Good luck my parents were British subjects living in Canada my grandfather became a British subject in fact Canadians most of us have a fondness for the queen and some others even like coronation Street so tell me how is it that a once great empire that only 1/4 of the world became a laughing stock and a basket case. Will always be in England but what shape will it be in. If it’s run by “soccer hooligans”. Only thing about Brexit so far is a British jobs are going to the Republic of Ireland and the rest EU.
