Wooden wristwatches for men; have maintained somewhat distinctive popularity for many years, at least for a decade as long as I can remember. To start with, just like leather, wood looks good as it ages. Believe it or not, a wooden watch can provide a "wow" factor when worn with a suit. When it appears from underneath my shirt cuff, I often get "Oh my god I LOVE your watch! Is that made of wood!?"
What's been advised to be aware of is that wood is climate sensitive. High temperature and humidity will swell the wood, whereas cold temperature will shrink it, so you need to make sure not to carry it under extreme weather. Having said that, a watch mechanism itself - movement - is a sensitive thing anyway. We have a dry summer here in the UK, but I wouldn't wear my expensive watch when I go walking in the freezing, snowy countryside. Certainly not a wooden watch.
And of course, there are few advantages in wearing a wooden watch such as;
- For those who cannot wear a metal watch due to nickel allergy, the wide variety of wooden watches offers an option to go for.
- Very light. For any reasons if you don't want to add a pressure to your wrist. Personally the weight of my watch doesn't bother me - heavy stainless watches can be really heavy but I get used to the weight after a while.
- No two watches are the same - all chiseled out of different parts of the wood, they all have different patterns.

Wooden Wrist Watches For Men Under $100
Quite separately, eco-friendliness is an arguable issue. Are wooden watches "eco-friendly?" Not as much as 100% recyclable stainless steel. For many years countries such as China and Japan who produce disposable chopsticks, have been accused of putting the Amazon Forest at risk. For that reason, it seems important for wooden watch manufacturers to appeal how they help the environment.
WeWood Watches
It was 2010 WeWood had its first watch designed in Florence, Italy, and opened a branch in Los Angeles, California. The company teamed up with tree planing partners, American Forests and Trees For The Future. With its eco-friendly ethos, all the watches are made from recycled or reclaimed wood. And WeWood has been planting a tree for every watch that’s been purchased. Over 420,000 trees have been planted since 2011, and their target is to plant 1 million trees by 2020.
WeWood emphasises that no trees are ever hurt or cut down in order to create their watches, and they do not add chemicals or toxins to the watches.
