This is my little Police watches review. I’m longing to wear a watch again. I sprained/strained my wrist while I was weight-lifting 3 months ago, and I’ve been wearing a thick support belt. I always wear my watch on my left wrist which I’ve injured. I don’t feel quite comfortable wearing a watch on my right wrist.
It’s been 3 months – it happened at the beginning of August. I stopped any muscle exercise (well I can’t…too painful), am just doing cardio. It didn’t seem to be healing therefore I made a doctor’s appointment.
Unfortunately, one morning at 2 am, I woke with a sudden, sharp pain in my wrist. I had to go to the nearest A&E. That’s something my husband wouldn’t approve of as he is a nurse. Especially he works at the very hospital! I know A&E is for an emergency, but the pain was excruciating and I was convinced something had happened to my wrist. I have been paying National Insurance for 30 years and never had an emergency treatment, thought I’d deserve it, for once.
So my husband reluctantly drove me there (basically went to work earlier than usual). To cut the story short, I had my X-ray taken and it was just tendonitis, tenosynovitis, common among sporty middle-aged people…which you probably don’t want to know (SORRY)
So watches!
Police Watches Review
Police watches are definitely my favourite, as I think a lot of them are sporty but not too bling-y. Simple watches can be boring and functional watches can be “too much, too young”, but the Police watch range is stylish, looks expensive but affordable. The one above right, Sunset Men’s Quartz is the one my attention was first drawn to. Metallic brown face is very attractive, only 1, 2, 3 clock numbers are in petrol blue, the second hand and the stitches are also in petrol blue which is very attractive.
The one above left, Python Men’s Quartz is also great. Depends on what sort of style you prefer but when you get to a certain age you don’t want a drastically fancy-designed watch. This one seems like it has all the timer/stopwatch functions that you may never use, but subtle blue patterns on black with a black stainless steel band would go well with any clothing whether a suit jacket or a T-shirt.
