Today I’d like to show you a UK’s fabulous clothing brand, Joe Browns, based in Leeds. When I think about men’s casual clothing, Joe Browns always comes to the top of my list. If you’ve ever seen their catalogues or websites, you know it’s for relatively younger generations, men and women. I can’t help but talk about this store because it’s always been with me for the last 15+ years.
Men’s Casual Clothing from Joe Browns
I used to look forward to receiving their catalogue booklet a few times a year and would buy myself all sorts – shirts, jackets, trousers and accessories. Some for my friends’ birthday/Christmas presents. Never disappointed me.
I absolutely love Joe Browns’ designs. The logo to start with. The catalogue was always eye-catching, the layout, lots of vivid colours yet simple and clear. Of course their clothing range itself is distinctive, pop and stylish. If you look a the website, this style hast changed – simple and easy-to-navigate.
Joe Browns Brief History
I found this publication from Fasttrack.co.uk that says the managing director Simon Brown set up the store in 1998 as a “feel-good lifestyle brand for men” – yes that’s the phrase I was looking for. Feel-good style. Their clothing range for women was introduced later but now shares 65% of sales. Well I’m not surprised, women’s range is all colourful and eye-catching too.

You may know from my previous post that I’m not such an enthusiastic fan of tassel loafers, but as you can see these are without tassels. Chosen by Joe Browns, yes I would wear them!
UK standard delivery charge £4, next day delivery £8, Europe £8 and the rest of the world £12.
I hope you like Joe Browns like I do – please don’t hesitate to leave any comments.
I noticed that all the prices of this clothing is in pounds sterling, does that mean you’re UK based or would the clothing be sent from the USA.
I particularly like a couple of the jackets you have for sale but would not buy them if they had to be transported across the pond.
I’ve just spotted the delivery charge is £4 so it must be a UK site and I will definately check it out more thoroughly, especially as hubby has a birthday coming up.
I like the look of the watches too. Nice clean site. Thanks. Ches
PS. I really like the candy striped shirt but I’m not sure he would wear it!
Hi Ches, thanks for your comment and query!
Joe Browns is based in Leeds, UK so all the clothing items are shipped from UK. I’d like to know much more detail about the company (probably just being nosy, but I’ve always like this shop) but couldn’t get any other information.
I agree with you, I like the candy striped shirt too but I’m not sure where I should wear it too – not for work for sure! I hope your husband will have a good birthday, and you’ll find something nice to give him!
Thanks for stopping by,
Ray
Hi Ray,
Being from Australia I haven’t come across this brand before, but they’ve definitely got a spiffy yet casual style! I wish I had a boyfriend to dress him in this. I particularly like their shoes, it’s times like these that I was born a boy!
Thanks for bringing this brand to my attention, I’ll keep it in mind for my next boyfriend’s birthday, whoever and wherever that is haha
All the best,
Katia
Hi Katia, thanks for your comment! You know what, Joe Brown’s female clothing range is even more fantastic (I think…!), just click the banner above and take a look, the sale is still on! And of course, for your future boyfriend’s birthdays, you’ll find someone soon, I hope!
Thanks again,
Ray
I’m glad I stumbled across this article. I am looking for something for my husband, who is really difficult to buy for. But he loves his shirts.
I particularly like the coats, as he likes a blazer style coat. I am in the UK, so I think shipping isn’t a problem.
Great stuff. Thats the birthday sorted!
Hi Ruth, that’s good your husband’s birthday sorted! Have a look at the women’s section too – they’ve got really colourful, distinctive & stylish selections as well (though they may not be your taste). Thanks for your comments!
