I don’t know what people are scared of. Maybe they think their children will be influenced, but I’ve got to tell you, I was raised by two heterosexuals. Everywhere I looked — heterosexuals. And they did not influence me. It’s time we love people for who they are and let them love who they want.

People from pre-sexual revolution and even from the 60s and the birth of the gay movement still define gay as two men or two women having sex. The real you is the energy force that created the entire universe!

A lot of people, perhaps especially religious people, will say that we should just be happy that we at least have a civil partnership, and not push our luck. I don’t accept this because there is a world of difference between calling someone your “partner” and calling them your “husband”. “Partner” is a word that should be preserved for people you play tennis with.

- Whoopi Goldberg -
It’s nice to see some straight celebrities supporting LGBTQ communities. I guess they mostly do but the fact that they actually voice it. Like Bruce Springsteen pulling out of his North Carolina concert, I adore him absolutely for his support. Love is love!
Thanks Marianne! I thought about listing up The Boss’s statement too. He’s voiced his support for the community a few more occasions and I too admire him as well as his music. Thanks for your visit & leaving a comment, I appreciate it.
Ray
great quotes but why is Anderson Cooper the top?
In what order?
Anderson is merely saying he loves being gay. While straight people cannot say I’m glad I’m straight but not gay?
Hi Ching, thanks for your comment. Why Anderson Cooper’s at the top… Because he’s one of the most powerful not just journalists but people in general in America. And his quote here is one of the simplest but post inspirational too – be proud to be gay. Being proud to be straight is not as meaningful as being proud to be gay in this context, obviously. I absolutely adore Anderson of course but I’m not from the US. Apart from that, there’s no particular reason and no particular order in the list of quotes here.
Awesome quotes, well done, Ray.
Thanks Burke!
Many good quotes by famous people but some of them I don’t know. If you can put their title actor or politician. I appreciate it. Thank you
Hi Kalle, thanks for your thoughts. I have several reasons why I don’t want to put the title under their name. The quote itself is not necessarily related to their profession. In other words, some of them happened to make an LGBTQ quote/comment and their professional status is irrelevant. Also they are all ‘famous people’ so if you’re interested in any of them that you don’t know, surely you’d like to search and find out more about them… But I do value your opinion and I appreciate you’ve taken time to voice it. I’ll see what others say and if there are more requests I’ll add their profession. Thank you!
Great quotes Ray! I feel sometimes I only like some male celebrities just because they’re gay (and pretty lol) like Anderson Cooper. If he was straight I wouldn’t have adored him as much as I do now. He’s taken anyway lol! Thank you for the great page Ray!
Hi Fumi, thanks for your comment. Yes Anderson is taken lol! We all become a fan of a celebrity for different reasons, so there’s nothing wrong if one likes someone only because of his/her sexuality. We all have different form of relationships in real life and that’s what it matters. I hope you liked the quotes. Thanks again Fumi for your visit.
I’m not happy with my work situation I get yelled at by my boss bullied by others and the customers complain all the time. When my self esteem is at the lowest I find inspirational quotes online and they cheer me up for the day. I am gay and 33, I cannot believe adults still bully like school children in a n enclosed environment and there is no one to tell the truths thanks for such beautiful strong messages from famous people, they get me going.
Hi Hassan, so sorry to hear that you’ve been bullied at your work place. These quotes may help you spiritually but you should not, and cannot live your life in misery like that – I do not tolerate bullies, I don’t accept it. Do you know anyone who you think you can get help from? If not, contact me at admin@rayww.com. I’m not a counsellor or someone who can do anything professional, but I can recommend someone to you and help you fix this, trust me. Thanks for your visit and leaving a comment.
Hi Ray, thank you so much for all the inspiring quotes. I hope the world will stop homophobic behavior completely one day. Your page is an awesome contribution towards our goal and I admire for it. Cheers.
