Today I'd like to introduce the latest fabulous range of French Connection for men. French Connection has come a long way since Stephen Marks first established in 1972. He rebranded it as "fcuk" in early 1990's. The name, not surprisingly caused a controversy later on mainly in the United States; American Family Association urged a boycott of fcuk products and Macy's pulled out the brand in 2003. Campaignlive.co.uk reports "One parent found it particularly upsetting that a magazine invited readers to lift a flap marked "Open here to try fcuk him", where they could smell the scent."
...Yeah I don't blame you. But was the brand "fcuk" so controversial over here in the UK? Hardly was it to me back in 1990's. Rather a little refreshing. We used to call it "The Fu*k Shop" though. Nice shirt, where's that from? The Fu*k Shop in Covent Garden.
"We" does not mean the UK public generally, of course, but I remember media called it "The Fu*k Shop" with respect, so did I & my friends. And we all certainly loved what the new Fcuk Shop (WTNF) was offering - clothing, footwear, accessories as well as its cosmetic range.
If anything, I thought for many years that there were two separate brands under the same umbrella, and got confused at times. Does that mean French Connection is superior, pricier and targeted towards adults, whereas FCUK being for younger generation and therefore for more accessible prices...? And I realised it wasn't the case when I found two identical jackets, one labelled French Connection and the other one labelled fcuk.

Wilde Wool Borg Detail Jacket
Of course you can pull that off. A friend of mine was wearing this jacket, and I was quite surprised when he told me it was FC, as you don't normally see a variety of "colours" from this brand. Personally I've always loved a chequered/lumberjack jacket, especially in that sort of colour. Quite striking.
