Dune has a range of great quality shoes. Today I’d like to pick just a couple of mens Dune shoes.
Mens Dune Shoes Review
This is another one of “my favourite shoe range” series, and I hope it’s not boring. I love shoes from Dune. Casual, formal & also boots. They have their distinctive style, yet in affordable prices. I must have bought over 30-40 pairs from Dune over the last 10 years and have never had a bad experience, always good quality and last long. So I’d just like to share it with you here.
Dune shops are all over in central London and each shop is fairly small. And usually 2/3 or more of the floor space is occupied by female shoes. Staff are predominantly female, all friendly and helpful. But often mens shoes in your size (or because my size is the most common 8?) are out of stock.
House of Fraser sells Dunes shoes as well as other posh shoes in the same section (such as Paul Smith, Hugo Boss). I normally go to John Lewis. They seem to have a good quantity in stock.
When they’re on sale, the prices could come down as much as 1/2, but I normally never find what I’ve wanted – especially in size 8. Clearance sales often exist for unusually tiny or gigantic people – you find 10 x great, stylish leather jackets on the rail being sold, all in size XXXL.
So when I really like a pair of Dune’s, I tend not to wait until the sale. The ones on the left/below are my favourite right now called “Republic”. Glossy leather, so they may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but they look great with a suit (obviously!) for work, and for a posh restaurant dinner, which I haven’t had for ages. These have been around for a while actually, so they might come to the end of their life.
My partner & I love their pointy shoe range – winkle pickers – sadly they don’t seem to produce them recently.
